This introduces a groundbreaking project that is set to transform local governance in Kattakkada, as it pioneers the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology across various sectors within the Panchayat. This ambitious initiative encompasses agriculture, water management, health, animal husbandry, and air quality management, harnessing IoT devices and data analytics to enhance the quality of life for residents. The benefits are far-reaching, with efficient irrigation and higher crop yields in agriculture, optimal water distribution in water management, improved healthcare services through remote patient monitoring, healthier livestock in animal husbandry, and enhanced environmental conditions through air quality monitoring. Spearheaded by the Center for Development of Open Hardware Lab (CDOH) team, this Proof of Concept (PoC) project strategically deploys gateways for seamless data collection, enabling real-time insights and promising to set new standards for participatory governance and resource allocation in the modern era of technological advancement.
